2016 First Annual Prayer Breakfast
Metro Christian Legal Aid holds an annual prayer breakfast which allows attorneys, volunteers, supporters, donors and friends to share in celebrating the Lord’s work of justice through Metro Christian Legal Aid and hear from an inspirational keynote speaker. On May 19, 2016 we were honored to welcome Bruce Strom, ESQ, Executive Director of Gospel Justice Initiative and author of the inspiring book “Gospel Justice.”
We plan to provide educational opportunities for attorneys, law students, paralegals, legal professionals, clients and the general public. This will be a key focus of the ministry of MCLA. Our training will be on varying topics often encountered at our legal aid clinics. These will be offered several times a year, focused on legal issues facing clients in the Metro Louisville area, and will be available at locations around the metropolitan area.

Please consider volunteering to serve with Metro Christian Legal Aid at our legal aid clinics or attending one of our events to learn more about doing justice, bringing hope and changing lives in Metro Louisville.
These clinics are an opportunity to meet with an attorney to find out what your rights are and to learn about: recent executive orders, LPR status adjustments, DACA and DACA renewals, refugee adjustments, I-130s and I-730s, asylum and naturalization. Our volunteer attorneys can also refer you to another attorney for further representation if needed.
A criminal record can be an overwhelming obstacle that blocks all your efforts toward a new successful life, even after your debt to society has been fully paid.
Kentucky law provides a way out of this dead end. Qualified individuals with criminal records may be able to "expunge" their record and go forward with a clean slate. However, the legal requirements, the forms and the filings can keep a person from achieving this important step toward a better life.
At each Expungement Clinic, we provide guidance to individuals on how to navigate the expungement process and direct qualified individuals on how to accomplish this goal.
