Metro Christian Legal Aid trains attorney volunteers to handle the legal concerns our clients most frequently have and trains all volunteers to provide compassionate service to our clients.
Volunteers are needed to be a part of this growing ministry. Attorneys, paralegals, client advocates, those who would like to pray for the work, individuals who enjoy showing hospitality, and interpreters (Spanish and other languages) are needed to show the love of God to those in need.

The Administrative Team includes welcoming clients to the clinics; assisting clients in completing forms, inputting information into the client database, assisting attorneys and paralegals, and scheduling attorney and paralegal times and client conferences.
Individuals with a heart for prayer are requested to pray for meetings while they are taking place and pray for all those involved in the ministry. In our clinics, a member of the team may pray with clients who are waiting to meet with an attorney. The prayer team also arranges for prayer parties — times to get together with other team members to write prayer cards to clients to include in the client packets and assemble those packets.
The Hospitality team provides beverages and snacks for clients when they come and while they wait, arrange to have toys, coloring books or other items for children who often accompany parents and are available to keep an eye on children while parents meet with an attorney.
The Attorney Team participates in the ministry by serving in the legal aid clinic, providing Christian nonprofit consulting services or assisting and serving in the Christian mediation ministry; or by serving as a referral for matters and issues presented to the ministry.
Client Advocate Team
A client advocate meets with clients after the attorney to ensure the client understands the plan of action. This team reviews the client packet and connects clients to other resources as needed. The Advocate also addresses any spiritual issues facing clients and follows up with clients, as needed, to determine whether the client followed through on the plan of action.
The Paralegal Team assists clients in completing forms and gathering information and identifying client issues and parties involved. Members of the paralegal team may assist in inputting information into the client database system, scanning documents into the system, and assisting attorneys and client advocates as needed.
Interpreters provide assistance with non-English speaking clients.
