Thank you for your continued support! The response to Giving Tuesday was a great start toward our goals in this last month of the year, especially when combined with the matching funds from our generous donor! Your gift represents more than a monetary contribution. It is a gift of hope during a very difficult time for many.

The good news is: our donor has extended the time for matching!  We will be celebrating and recognizing the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ for the entire Christmas Season! As you plan for year end charitable gifts, AND as you consider how to honor family and friends at Christmas, Metro Christian Legal Aid invites you to Give Justice / Give Hope.  Please give to MCLA during the month of December.  Every gift will be matched so your generosity will be doubled.

Your gift will help make a difference for someone who is struggling with legal obstacles and spiritual hopelessness.  Individuals and families who have previously had no access to justice will, with your help, be able to receive free legal assistance to help them climb out of desperate situations.

You're invited to attend "The Joy of Giving" Workshop presented by Metro Christian Legal Aid (MCLA) and sponsored by Thrivent Financial on Tuesday, December 1st at 12PM EDT.

We all give, yet how and why we each give is personal. Join us to learn how a giving partnership can maximize support to charities and causes that reflect your values. Together we'll discuss how you can:

- Be strategic in your giving for maximum charitable support and potential tax deductions
- Create an income stream and achieve your charitable goals
- Start a donor-advised fund to support the charities and causes closest to your heart.

No products will be sold. InFaith Community Foundation is a public charity that serves individuals, organizations, and the community through charitable planning, donor advised funds, and endowments. InFaith works collaboratively with Thrivent and its financial professionals. Donors must itemize deductions to receive a charitable income tax deduction. charitable giving can result in tax, legal, and financial consequences. Thrivent and its financial professionals do not provide legal, accounting, or tax advice. Consult your attorney or tax professional.

Free to attend, but registration is required. Reserve your spot here:  https://thrivent.zoom.us/.../WN_U9kIxv04TLylOIZgajT5pw

MCLA's Third Annual Prayer Breakfast - September 10, 2019

On September 10, 2019 MCLA hosted our Third Annual Prayer Breakfast at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  We were honored to have Southeast Christian Church's Senior Pastor, Kyle Idleman, as our guest speaker. (See article) Kyle shared a message of helping people “one at a time” – something we live out at MCLA at any one of our six clinic locations throughout the Louisville metro area. With over 250+ individuals in attendance, it was great to connect with new and old friends of the ministry and to showcase what the Lord is doing with this ministry. We would like to thank our sponsors again for helping us make the Prayer Breakfast such a great event and a special thank you to everyone who so graciously gave their financial resources to help MCLA continue to be a Voice for Justice!

Stay tuned for our Fourth Annual Prayer Breakfast on September 24, 2020!

Read The Southeast Outlook Newspaper  article featuring one of MCLA's recent client stories, Nanette Osborn. Nanette had 30 offenses expunged within 60 days through the help of Ken Mudd and other volunteers through MCLA. What a joy it is to hear of the many ways the Lord is working through the heart of this ministry in our local Louisville community. Praise the Lord!
